VibroAcoustic Therapy

Vibroacoustic Therapy (VAT)

Relief for pain, tension, poor sleep and nervous system overload.

If your body feels tight, achy, overstimulated, or exhausted

then Vibroacoustic Therapy is a gentle way to help your

nervous system calm down so your body can recover.

What is Vibroacoustic Therapy?

Vibroacoustic Therapy uses low-frequency sound and

vibration delivered through a specialized therapeutic bed.

The vibration moves through your body, helping muscles,

joints, and your nervous system release tension and shift

out of stress. Most people describe it as:

  • deeply calming

  • grounding

  • relaxing

  • like their body finally “lets go”

How it works

The vibration provides steady sensory input that helps your system downshift, allowing your body to relax and reset, without effort. You don’t have to “try to relax.” Your body does it naturally.

What you may notice

People often report:

  • less muscle tension

  • reduced body tightness

  • calmer pain responses

  • easier recovery

  • deeper, more restful sleep

  • feeling more relaxed and grounded

Some feel a shift right away.
Others notice bigger changes with consistency.

Who this is for

Vibroacoustic Therapy may be a good fit if you:

  • live with chronic tension or tightness

  • experience persistent or widespread pain

  • feel “wired but tired”

  • struggle with sleep or recovery

  • carry stress physically in your body

  • have nervous-system sensitivity, including fibromyalgia-type experiences

  • want gentle, non-invasive support alongside chiropractic care

Why people try it

People choose VAT because they want:

  • relief without force

  • support without medication

  • help calming their nervous system

  • better sleep and recovery

  • something that actually feels good

What to expect

  • You stay fully clothed

  • You lie comfortably on the bed

  • Sessions can range in time

  • Many people leave feeling looser and calmer

Research and Evidence

Vibroacoustic Therapy has been explored in research settings for its effects on nervous system regulation, relaxation, pain sensitivity, sleep quality, and stress-related symptoms.

Studies of low-frequency sound and vibration have included populations experiencing chronic pain, widespread discomfort (such as fibromyalgia), anxiety, and sleep disruption. These studies suggest vibroacoustic experiences may support relaxation, reduced symptom burden, and improved nervous system regulation when used as complementary care. There has even been some great studies around emotional regulation, attention and challenging behaviors in kids with autism and developmental disabilities.  Studies around VAT include conditions such as COPD lung conditions, parkinson's disease, Alzheimers disease, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, and post-surgery pain management.

Research in this area is ongoing. Vibroacoustic Therapy is offered as supportive nervous system care and does not diagnose or treat medical conditions.
